The spring tax bill has been submitted - here are the most important changes

On 11 May 2021, the Minister of Finance submitted to the National Assembly Bill no. T/16208 including the spring tax package. The package affects a number of tax rules, but does not contain any great surprises.

The rules for reclaiming VAT on irrecoverable receivables is expected to change positively; in addition, there will also be new rules concerning incomes derived from cryptocurrencies. It is less good news for companies that a further reduction of the social contribution tax is only expected in July next year, and for individuals, that in case the CSOK subsidy is be repaid in full, the the property transfer tax previously waived must also be paid.
