The Ministry of National Economy (NGM) published a new bill, which would, parallel with the reform of tax proceeding, also put tax enforcement measures on a whole new basis.
The significance of the material, which appeared in early September, however, reaches beyond the collection of taxes, since the the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) will become an enforcement authority from 2018. This means that the tax authority will have to be able to take measures not only for the collection of financial debts, but also, for example, in the enforcement of the demolition of a building ordered on the basis of a building authority decision.
