CVs and cover letters (in English and Hungarian) should arrive by the given deadline. The applications are pre-screened, and a number of applicants are selected for interview.
Tests, rapid interviews
The first step of the recruitment process is a written test to assess technical knowledge, logic competencies and general expertise. Candidates next have a 15-minute rapid interview with a Mazars HR representative. The interview assesses foreign language skills, academic background and/or work experience, and general first impressions. Feedback is sent to all candidates within a week.
After this first round, candidates for audit assistant positions participate in an Assessment Center; those interested in tax assistant jobs have a professional interview.
Assessment center (audit)
Five applicants are invited for each of the half-day Assessment Centers. The sessions feature individual and group exercises that allow us to assess candidates in various situations. We focus on teamwork, communication skills, motivation and advisory qualities.
Professional interviews (tax advisory)
After a successful first round, candidates have the opportunity in interview to demonstrate their technical proficiency and aptitude to the leaders of our tax services business line.
Successful applicants are notified by phone. Rejected candidates are given detailed feedback explaining our decision. Assessment Center participants receive a written summary of their results. A draft employment contract is sent to successful candidates.
Before the first day
New entrants join Mazars in early September, but can meet their future colleagues at the Mazars annual year-closing, a half-day informal event held in June.
